Remy's baaaaaaaack! (don't worry G'Ma L, it's fake....but the blue hair, which you can't see in this foto, isn't!)

Here are a couple of recent pieces of correspondence I've received that kind of add a bit to the whole general anxiety factor:

It was the return address that somewhat concerned me about this piece of mail:

Turns out it was a fundraiser...phew.

Well, Remy has been safely deposited at MIT...his dorm is on the SIXTH floor! No elevators. The view from the top:

Here are the kids after schlubbing his stuff up the stairs-hey I carried a load, too. It's a good thing Remy so minimilast!

Here's some random pics of the architecture-I really didn't take very many esp since I am now doomed to my crappy camera since Remy insisted on taking his camera to college-the nerve!

This is a building with a really long corridor that lets you cut through the campus. Here's a picture from the inside.

So, you all will never guess who we stayed with: Ryan Keefe!!

That's right, my best bud from third grade is now living in Boston-right by the famous North Church

And I think this is the Charles River:

We had a blast just shooting the you know what-of course he looks exactly the same and it's kind of weird how we both turned out the same as far as politics, music, general decorating and constantly being mistaken for homosexuals...hmmmm...

Anyway, Remy is at MIT, I'll email you Fleuettes his permanent address when I get it. I'm not too devastated yet but I did tear up at the convocation...which was kind of the opposite of a graduation...I suddenly thought, "I can't believe we're here-I can't believe we made it!" Cuz as you all know it was long road...and I couldn't have done it without you all, so thanks!

Just so you know...Mil now has Rainbow Hair.  Which, Incidentally, earns her random thumbs-up from passing lesbian types.  An unforseen bonus, huh Mil? Ha!

Although this article does seem a bit derivative.

This article was sitting on my desk this morning-my boss had see it in the paper-of course I immediately (ok, after work) went and bought a bunch of copies to send to the fam...pretty cool, not so flattering picture of me, but...whadya gonna do? Remy looks great!

Our new cat, LoLcAt, has an extra toe (digit?).  It seems to make her a superior climber, judging from the abilities she has already demonstrated

Apparently she is French...for some reason I am compelled to describer her in French-perhaps French-Canadian.  How appropriate an addition for our household-another French-Canadian Freak of Nature!!

Taking a load off at the WSJ

ON Saturday, Amelia, Joe and I went into the city to the Lower East Side with the intention of watching a poetry slam at the Nuyorican Poetry Cafe-Instead, Amelia ended up performing-that's right-and she KICKED some you know what!!
She came in 6th out of 21-not bad for a 'white' girl just in off the street...and she was mighty white looking. She was awesome, though and definitely proved she can hold her own with the best of 'em.
ummm, as usual, I was too excited to take pictures. But later we went and ate at this little Mediterrean cafe and there was a torrential downpour...
